.Lesson Tips
1
Provide your child with easy-to-slip-on shoes or thongs.
2
Put your child’s name on all personal belongings (towel, shoes, etc.)
3
If you would like your child to wear sun screen, choose a waterproof lotion and apply it at least one hour prior to entering the water!

The trade journals report that lotion applied less than 1 hour prior to water entry simply washes off in the pool with no protection to your child.
4
Only provide your child with ear plugs if it is prescribed by your child’s doctor. If your child does not need them for medical reasons, it is best to learn without plugs.
5
We discourage the use of goggles. If your child falls into a pool or lake, they probably won't have them on. Our first mission is to teach your child how to survive if the worst occurs. Naturally, if they are required for medical reasons, we support their use.
6

When you come back the following year, don't be discouraged if your child seems to have regressed. It is natural, but they will pick it back up quickly.

Remember - one year in a 5 year olds life is 20% of their entire life experience!

7 We provide the foundation for good swim skills, but you must keep your kids in the water. Practice makes perfect!
